Second Life: Shoes are a girl's best friend

That thing about diamonds, it should actually say shoes. Because honestly, can you ever have too many shoes? Of course not.

London's Fog is an oversized blanket cardigan that honestly I wouldn't mind having in my First Life, it looks so comfortable. It's also elegant enough to wear anytime, anywhere. Select colors are available this week at Fi*Friday. And how about those gorgeous shoes? The Phalanx Formation is an open sandal for Slink High Feet. A brand new creation from Loordes of London and available this week at Fi*Friday in select colors.
The Phalanx Formation for Slink High Feet is also available this week at Lyfe of Style in select colors.
The level of detail of the textures on The Phalanx Formation is amazing. Just look at that stitching and the fine grain of the leather. A shoe that is elegant and classy and at the same time casual. And this is why I love Loordes of London.
Here is the same outfit, but with a different shoe, the Amherst Pumps. You may recall I blogged about that shoe earlier this week, one color is available as a group gift in the Loordes of London in world group. This week's Secret Wednesday deal are two more colors of the Amherst Pumps.
Amherst Pumps (leather and chains) is the full name of this shoe and I think it is obvious why. The details are amazing, from the high quality leather to the delicate gold chains draped across the heel, and the clasp for the ankle chain. Available at Loordes of London Secret Wednesday location.
And of course I have to show you the details on the London's Fog Blanket Cardigan, because they are so impressively detailed. The lapels are stitched with a delicate swirl pattern in contrasting color, here in Brown and Salmon. Get it at Fi*Friday this week.

To see this outfit live, stop by the Loordes of London main store between 12-1pm SLT on Friday.

Enjoy your Second Life!

Second Life: Fashionable, Fashionabler, Fashionablest

Those are to real words! I made them up today as I was looking through the new box from Loordes of London. A couple of not quite new items, and a couple of brand new items, all of them featured in events around the grid. Honestly, why would anyone shop anywhere but Loordes of London? They have everything for a complete outfit, and styles to suit most anyone.

The Joplin Rock bolero top was new this summer but it is already a classic. Here worn with the King's Sports Bra in Chocolate, but can also be worn without anything underneath, if you dare. The Joplin Rock is featured at this round of Designer Circle. Sondrio Jeans work perfectly to create an elegantly classic rock look, and the new Amherst Pumps complete the ensemble. The Amherst Pumps are the current group gift in the Loordes of London Second Life group. I chose to accessorize with The Tonan Queen necklace and Gilgamesh Undone earrings and bracelets. The hair is *TSM* Seagrass - Kiss from The Stringer Mausoleum. All in all I am very pleased with this outfit and plan to wear it to the next Red Heaven show.
A closer look at the amazing textures of The Joplin Rock top, as well as the lovely Tonan Queen necklace.
The Amherst Pumps in leather and chains is the group gift for November in the Loordes of London store group. Free to join, so a gorgeous pair of shoes for no cost at all. Doesn't get any better.
The Thasos Antiquity dress gives a slightly less casual look than the previous outfit, here in sky blue and ivory. This gorgeous creation was released a few months ago but still feels brand new to me. The sassy and sexy Anatolia Wedge is however brand new, here in ivory and silver. Dress and shoes are available at Fresh Style, right now. The hair is *TSM* Seagrass - Colder from The Stringer Mausoleum.
Here a closer look at the detailed textures on the Thasos Antiquity dress. Note how the fabric folds at the belt delicately, and the amazing detail in the fabric print.
The Anatolia Wedge, brand new release from Loordes of London, available at Fresh Style, and also at Designer Showcase, for 100L. These shoes are for Slink High Feet only.
See, when the existing words aren't enough, you just have to make up new ones! Will you be the fashionablest among your friends?

Enjoy your Second Life!

Secret Wednesday items this week are two La Mans Shirts, featured here is the #16, matched with the Teramo Jeans #12 and Lucciverdi Zipper Boots #12. The boots are for Slink High Feet only. The La Mans Shirts are available at the Thrift Shop.
The classic retro cut of the Gustafsson Retro dress matched with the sassy Pinup Pumps evokes images of the 1950's and casually formal garden parties. Or perhaps date night with that special someone? The current edition of Lyfe of Style features Gustafsson Retro 1 in several classic colors for only L$75. Find the matching Pinup Pumps at the Loordes of London main store.
Fi*Friday this week features the Montgomery Duffle Coat in several brilliant colors, along with the matching Soonsara The Woods ankle boots. Pink & Blue Jubilee necklace and earrings complete the ensemble.

Second Life: Pink October

I know we're already half way through October, but there is never a bad time to bring attention to Pink. If you saw my post yesterday you know I was wearing a pink/purple outfit from an RFL hunt gift at Loordes of London. Well, I decided to accessorize with more pink...
I borrowed a couple of cuties from some awesome members of the KittyCatS community to go with my outfit. In my arms is Kissyface, a pink Love Leopard (Valentine limited edition). He is a cutie and a sucker for bellyrubs. Next to me on the floor is Phineaus, a Chateau Pink & White No. 1. He is a lazy kitty who likes to sleep, and take naps in between.

Breedables are a huge thing in Second Life, and I managed to stay away from them altogether for almost 5 whole years. But then Firestorm turned 3 and KittyCatS had a special cat, free. It was what they call a PermaPet, meaning it doesn't eat or breed, but still has all the fun interactions of a regular KittyCatS cat. Of course I had to get one. And my son got one to, and a handful of my alts.

As it turns out, the FireKitty was only the gateway into what I can only call the best addiction ever. Included in the package was a coupon for a free starter cat, which came with a week of food. Well, I opened a couple of them and bred them together, and then I was hooked.

A year later I've learned to pace myself a bit, but I don't regret a single KittyCat. The cats may only be pixel pets in a pixel world, but they bring so much joy to so many people. Even better than that is the community of KittyCatS Addicts. I don't know them all of course, there's tens of thousands of us, but I have yet to meet a KittyCatS Addict that was less than pleasant. I love them all to bits.

Stay Pink, and enjoy your Second Life!

Second Life: How to Dress for Less (and still look fabulous)

I absolutely love a bargain. I mean, who doesn't? So I do try to look around for bargains around the grid, but somehow or other I always end up back at Loordes of London. Go figure! Scroll down for pictures of my latest finds...
This is what I wore to work today. I found it in a hunt prize at the main store and just fell in love. The dress is The Maclaine Special - Parfait, which I matched with Pinup Pumps #5 and the La Boheme Ceramic Set in Fuschia. The Pinup Pumps are still available at The Wash Cart Sale until the end of this month, for only L$10. The dress was a prize in a September hunt so if you want it, best hurry before it's gone.
Close-up of the Pinup Pumps #5. For Slink High Feet only, so if you don't own the Slink High Feet, don't buy these shoes.

For tomorrow I chose a vibrantly colorful outfit, this one benefitting breast cancer research.
The Harlequin #4 and #5, matching top and pants in pink and purple. Be colorful and make a statement at the same time. These are avaialble at the Loordes of London main store, by the hunt prizes. I wore the Lucciverdi Zipper Boots #2 with this outfit, because their vibrant purple color matches so well.
I accessorized The Harlequin with the Jubilee Necklace and Earrings in Pink & Blue. An oldie but a goodie and pearls are appropriate for any occasion.

L'Accessories Event features accessories by the top designers in Second Life, so of course Loordes of London is participating. Featured is the La Boheme Ceramic Necklace in assorted colors, for L$150. See pictures below for available colors.

Stay fabulous, and enjoy your Second Life!

La Boheme Ceramic Necklace - Hickory

La Boheme Ceramic Necklace - Olive

Second Life: Phoenix Rising

I have said it many times, and I stand by it, that Loordes of London is my favorite store in Second Life. However, I do have other stores that I like to shop at. One of them is The White Armory, or TWA for short. It is a store that specializes in medieval and renaissance type clothing and weaponry and their creations are always meticulously hand-crafted and beautifully detailed. Whenever I need a new gown for a formal event, or for any kind of fantasy or medieval role play, I always go to The White Armory.

Recently they had a limited edition gown out, that is unfortunately already sold out, but that I want to show you just as an example of the amazing work they do.
TWA Forever And Faraway Limited Edition Gown Set. Includes mesh gown and flexi attachment. All textures handpainted by creator Bee Dumpling. Is this not a dress to die for?
Side angle. Shoes were a Midnight Mania prize from ECRU.
Equally beautiful from behind to. The jewelry is the recent release from Chop Zuey "Don't Call Me Betty" (texture change). Two different versions of this set are available as free gifts at the store.

But the main reason for this post, and my latest love from TWA, is the new set Phoenix Rising. It is a collaboration between The White Armory and Norena Soir Production Florals and it is too stunning for words so I am just going to let this picture speak for itself. I did not add anything to this ensemble, because it was just not needed.

,
Dress, shoes and Slink nail appliers from TWA. Wings, staff, headpiece and ring (not shown) from NSP. Still available at TWA main store.
That is all.

NB:All hair in photos from Tameless.

Second Life: Loordes of London - Taking a walk...

This weekend I thought I would take a nice long walk in the lovely autumn sunshine we have had where I live. Of course I went to my favorite store to find just the right clothes for the occasion.

I picked up this Time Square Pea Coat #3 and found the most adorable matching boots, Hampshire Boots II in Red/Multi. Then just as I was heading out I found A Touch Of Deco necklaces on sale and I just had to have the #5 because it went so well with the outfit. I had the most lovely walk in my snazzy new clothes!
Here is a close-up of the gorgeous A Touch Of Deco #5 necklace.
Coat and necklace are available right now at Fi*Friday, boots at Fashion Collective. Hurry before they are gone!

Stay warm, and enjoy your Second Life!

Second Life: Loordes of London - Anticipation Satisfied

Last week when I was looking through outfits to blog about I found these, featured at the XY Room. However, I couldn't blog about them then because the event hadn't opened yet! So no matter how much I wanted to share them with you all, I had to wait. But here they are! Scroll down for some fashionable awesomeness. Or awesome fashionableness, whichever you prefer.

Here I am wearing the Vercelli Jacket with brown Avseende slacks and Vitolini Boots in matching blue. A suitable outfit for the increasingly chilly autumn weather, I think. The jacket is available at the XY Room, the pants and boots at the main store.
After a stroll in the crisp autumn air, I wanted to relax at home in something comfortable, so I threw on this J:Crew Lounger Set in purple, because, well purple. Matched with Urban Hipster sneakers in Plum and Black. Lounger Set available at the XY Room, sneakers at the main store.
Then last weekend while I was working I saw this jacket and boots set on sale and I just had to have it. I actually got two, this one and one in blue. The jacket is The Babbage Post, matched with the Ailith Booties Aubergine Tweed. The Allier Slacks #22 are a perfect match for this set, don't you think? Accessorized with The Keep Necklace in Copper and Ruby and La Boheme Ceramic Earrings in Red. Believe it or not, the jacket and boots are only L$55 each. Find them at the Loordes of London main store right at the main entrance.
Last, but certainly not least, an outfit for the not quite so crispy autumn days. The Foofy Hoodie #20 matches perfectly with the La Marais Boots in Teal, and both go great with the Soho Slacks in Chocolate. The hoodie and boots are available in several color combinations at Fi*Friday.

Well there you have it, folks! Worth waiting for, I think.

Stay fashionable, and enjoy your Second Life!
